NEW NTRP RATING APPEAL PROCESS

Here are a few common questions:

  1. If I am on a team that played at the Championship level, will I be a benchmark?
NO - You must appear on a scorecard at championship play to be a benchmark.

  2. If I played on an adult or senior team but did not play at State, Sectional or Nationals, but I did play on a Mixed team that played at State, Sectional or Regional Nationals, will I be a benchmark?
NO - No one will be a benchmark from Mixed or Super Seniors.

We now have a new automated appeals process for your NTRP rating.  The new process is for players who would like to see if they are within the appeal range for their ratings and is simple and easy to use:

Go to TennisLink

Click on "Find A Rating"

Enter your USTA # or your name

After your rating appears, there is a new link "Appeal Rating"  Click and follow prompts to get an immediate answer to your appeal.

Below is criteria for your information:

Automated Appeals

A player or their captain/coordinator may appeal the player's computer-generated rating.

Medical appeals require supporting documentation and must be submitted in writing.

APPEAL REQUESTS
  • When appealing UP, the player's rating is compared to the player's current play level to see if it is within range.
