Updates and Announcements from UTC:

We have had a very busy summer so far at The University Tennis Center of New Orleans. The summer has been filled with Summer Camps for kids, clinics for high school players, and we have just finished hosting The National Public Parks Tennis Championship.  About 300 competed in the National Public Parks from around the area and around the country.  Thank you to all those who participated in the tournament, and Congratulations to the winners.  

As we move into fall our schedule will not slow down.  We opened registration this week for The Louisiana Clay Court Fall Championships which will be held at UTC September 26-28, 2008.  For more information or to register please use tennis link at Tennis Link : http://tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/TournamentHome/Tournament.aspx?T=62690

This is the first of several tournaments scheduled at the club over the next few months, both juniors and adult events.  Be sure and check out our web-site at www.utcneworleans.com to see the full schedule of events.

The Smoothie Spot cafe has added daily plate lunch specials!  On Monday's they have excellent Red Beans & Rice, on Tuesday's :  Pasta Jambalaya, Wednesday's:  Lasagna, etc.  The food is really great and reasonably priced.  having a cafe here is a great opportunity to come out for a game and stay for lunch, or perhaps a drink after league night.  If you haven't tried the Smoothie Spot yet give it a try soon, you will be pleased.  Menus are available on the web-site at: http://www.utcneworleans.com/smoothie_spot_cafe .
